Michael Jackson: King of Pop

Hey all!

Did any of you watch Bad25 on ABC a few week ago??? I did. I thought it was a great documentary about the songs and making of Michael Jackson's Bad album's 25th anniversary. So since then I have been really into MJ and have listened to soooo much of his music. As I kept looking at documentaries about his life I realized that as he got older the stress really started to set in, especially months before his final concert. This is really too bad because he was an amazing man and singer who will always be remembered. I know that he was not perfect, and his childhood was awful but through it all he still made great music, through the media, lies, and all other problems. Ir was really too bad that he had to go so young and he will always be remembered.

Also on a bit of a happier note, as of now MJ is on the top for being voted Most Famous Person of 2013!!! Spread the word (as you would the plague) and VOTE VOTE VOTE!! Here:

And I got MJ's CD Number Ones!!! EXITED!!!

Never Close Our Eyes

So todays post will not be about EA. But instead ADAM LAMBERT! Thats right all you Glamberts.

Ok so Adam is one of my favorite pop/rock singers out there. He won second place in American Idol season 8. His style is very dramatic, theatrical and I think punk rock with a mix of David Bowie. After Idol, he came out with his first album in 2009, For Your Entertainment with singles If I Had You, Whataya Want from Me and For Your Entertainment.

The year after he had his first tour Glam Nation Tour and recorded the songs he performance live on the tour into another "album."

In May of 2012 he has come out with his newest album Trespassing. This has a more electronic feel about it I think and more outgoing lyric wise. Singles from this album include Better Than I Know Myself, Trespassing and Never Close Our Eyes. Cant wait to get it on CD!!!!!

FLAG reviews #2

Hey all sorry I have not been posting for a while, I have had a ton of school stuff going on. One thing I want to share is that at the end of this year I am going to PARIS!!!!!!

So I want to talk about track number 5 on FLAG, Take the Pill. My friend is obsessed with this song and I love this as well. I like how in the very beginning of the song it is very raw and does not have a lot of background music. When it gets to the chorus (get back in line. Etc) I was shocked how calm she sound compared to how she sounds in the live shows. When the song continues i love the riff at 2:37. I think it sounds I creepy an kind of changes the feel of that particular verse. My personal favorite part of the song is at the end when its "Don't you want to e sedated?" Bit....reminds me of the part of the book when Emilie is yelling at Dr. Sharpe upstairs.

I hope to be posting more soon, check back later for updates.

FLAG track reviews

Hello all my Leeches and Plague Rats!

So my own hardcopy of Fight Like A Girl came!

I love it soo much. I do think that if you did not read TAFWVG you would not understand tracks I Don't Understand and Gaslight because of the references to the book. There really is something for everyone's enjoyment in this album. I will explain (going by track number.) I WILL POST ONE REVIEW A DAY!

1. Fight Like A Girl - Keeps a steady beat for the first verse, then picks up at the chorus and a bit before, then changes tune again when the chorus is repeated. These keep going in order throughout the song. I think that this song is very empowering. Showing that you can stand up for yourself and to not be afraid to "fight like a girl." Oh yes then later in the song, the tempo from Misery Loves Company comes in for the lyrics:

"Its so easy to kill,,
this I learned by watching you
If I have to I will
It's not pretty but it's true
I am through lying still
Just a body to be beaten, f*cked
and if I'm lucky left for dead
so WHO'S scary now?"

Then the lyrics go on about honor and not hiding from the fight. Then directing to her male audience saying:

"Even if your only a boy, you can fight like a girl"

I think this one of my favorite tracks on the album (and my mothers) ;) Check back here later this week for and update on more FLAG track reviews!!!!!!!

Cupcakes, Asylums, Leeches and other things

Since it is raining today I decided to re-read (for the 4th time) The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls and I came across some pen drawn pictures. So I grabbed my paper and pen and drew my heart out. I am very proud on how they both came out. I love the drawings in The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls because they are so simple to draw and they come out fabulous. :)

Wonderland Upside-down

Life is still falling into place for me
I look outside and wonder where my choices will take me
I walk solo
down roads to places I do not know
I scavenge to find myself
Like looking for pieces to finish
puzzles I would
put together
when I was 4
I have to start over and over again
with decisions that never go right
Unlacing and re-lacing the corset of my life
Once I think I have it
The corset comes apart and I start over again
Life is not a bed of roses
More like a maze
Where you never stumble across the end
Until everything is balanced
My Journal is full of waiting fans to see
What I will bleed onto the paper
each day
My pains and fears leak from my hands into ink
Staining the paper with permanent feelings
I live in a world somewhere else
Where there is nothing
But silence
and dancing shoes
For now my place is the stage
Where dancing explodes from my feet
melodies erupt from my mouth
and lines of poetry beat from my heart

Life as a Plague Rat 3

Hello Everyone!

Well today I am not writing you from home. Somewhere 8 hours away.

Anyway I am now a member of Emilie Autumn's Forum  (adautumnfan3) and I am very excited. Also I dyed my hair yesterday. Pieces of it are now blue. I used SPLAT hair color and I think it worked very well, but smell a bit :P The color did wash out in the ocean a little so I need to put another coat in today. I will be back home on Saturday and at work on Monday. I miss my house :( and my mice.....and the 5 packets of tea that I was suppose to bring here.

Life as a Plague Rat 1

This post, and future ones titled as such will be just rants or anything that is going on in my life. I must explain to you Plague Rats, I hate EA haters that make it public. So yesterday I was searching the internet for pictures of Emilie's FLAG tour and came across a website from a "fan" that put Emilie Autumn confessions of her/his own. One of them said "Emilie is wrapped up in her own lies" and saying that The Asylum For Wayward Victorian Girls is all lies. This person also said that Emilie sound like s*** live. Well I have to tell you I own the book and seen almost every EA interview out there and done a TON of research, trust me Bethany knows.. and anyway that book is not a lie. Emily may be fiction in her parts of the book but Emilie is real (DUH) and oh I don't know why I am ranting on about this but it got on my nerves last night and I don't like seeing that hate (I do know a lot is there) but I mean posted online where millions (and even Emilie) can see it!! I'm so sorry if I have wasted your time after you have read this but please understand I had get it out.

Anyway on another note I have officially fell in love with Pandora Hearts, PH for short. It is a Japanese anime. Im not going to tell you what it is about but I will tell you why I fell in love with it. It has references with Alice in Wonderland, and yes one of the characters name is Alice who transforms into a giant black rabbit :) B-rabbit for short (Bloodstained Black Rabbit) You can find the volumes in English and watch the show on Hulu, with subtitles.

AHHHH ok ok sorry I have not posted in a month or so, my life has been CRaZy lately :P

So today I am posting about my new favorite singer/songwriter Kerli. Kerli Kovi is a Estonia singer from a small town called Elva with a population of around 5,000. She is now 25 years old and has her own genre of clothing and music "Bubblegoth" as she calls it ;) Her first album "Love is Dead" came out in 2008 and was her "dark period" as she (Kerli) puts it. She came out with the single "Army of Love" in 2010 and now her newest single "Zero Gravity" came out in March of this year. She also wrote a song on the Alice In Wonderland 2010 movie album called "Tea Party" She makes almost (or all) of her clothing and props by hand for her daily life and music videos. Kerli calls her fans "Moonchildren" so I guess that makes me a Moonchild.

I just got back from JamFest cheerleading and dance competition last night at Six Flags. It was really fun and our team won first place in our division! After we preformed me and a friend went around (at 7:30) at night and went on the tea cup ride :) it was getting late and when we got back the solos and duets were wrapping up. But one thing that really annoyed me throughout this whole experience was that there was a gym with about 40 girls and they were all in separate groups or solos, so most of the awards were given to them. There was a total of about 70 teams there.  But in the end I had a good time and when we got there we had parked way out in the back because there was so many ppl there. So when the awards ended it was around 11 at night. My mom and I thought we would have to walk back to the car (which was a while away) But I had never been so happy to see a shuttle in my life! While on the shuttle I met a girl who was in the Hip-Hop team that won overall. They were amazing and I am really glad they won. It was an amazing experience. Oh also we got home at 1 in the morning and I slept like a rock. Happy Sunday to everyone. :)

Ok, here is the lowdown, I want to dye my hair and make some changes to my life/look this summer. For about a month now I have been loving this black nail polish I got, so that is going to stick around for a while :) but I am going to dye my hair (parts) a different color (I have no idea if I have told you this) Ok so I was inspired by EA in the beginning when I first wanted to dye my hair. Who isn't inspired by her? oh yah all the haters.....anyway since she has died the crap out of her hair and is now blond, red is out of the picture. My second option is blue, like a BRIGHT blue, just highlights. But today as I was listening to The Legacy by the Black Veil Brides (:D) it kinda clicked. "Hey let's just dye my whole head black and call it good! plus I don't have to bleach it!" So right now I am EXTREMELY undecided.

In looking at young involved in the occult, do you see any particular type of dress? I have personally observed people wearing black finger nails, having their hair painted black, wearing uh, black T-shirts, sometimes they will tattoo themselves"

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having an AMAZING V Day. For me it was. Today at school we all got to wear our pj's, watch movies, play games (and wii) and eat tons of CANDY! But I think the best surprise of the day, since I don't have a Valentine, was coming home to a milk chocolate cake with a heart of top my mom made for me.

Black Veil Brides

My new obsession at the moment is BVB. Ok, so BVB is a gothic/emo Punk Rock band based out of Hollywood, California. They have been active since 2006 and the most recent members are:
  • Andy Sixx (Biersack)-lead vocals
    Jake Pitts- lead guitar
    Ashley Purdy- bass, backing vocals
    Jinxx (Jeremy Ferguson)- rhythm guitar
    Christian "Coma" Mora- drums

The way that the name "Black Veil Brides" is explained in Andy's own words here:

The origin of the name comes from my childhood fascination with Roman Catholicism and the dark imagery that it evokes (i.e. sacred heart, stigmata, etc.) The term black veil bride comes from the church. When a Nun has her coronation, she is marrying God and they literally have a ceremony in which she wears a black veil because she is giving up the cardinal pleasures of life. I thought this worked well for a heavy band as the strong dichotomy between a bunch of guys dressed in all black and general lack of “holy-ness” claiming such a strong image seemed to be evocative and sexy to me. Also, I liked the positive and negative it came with, the Hollywood-ized version of life it seems to have. The movies or TV seem to deem a wedding as the happiest moment in an adult life and the usual image for that is a beautiful young woman in a wedding dress and wedding veil. Inversely the lowest point in a human life would be a funeral which is classically depicted by an older, perhaps beat down, woman in a black veil… a strong woman despite her plight. These type of names are classic in rock and roll, such as Guns and Roses, which is both positive and negative. I thought it suited us well.

End of the day...

So since I came home early today from school with a stomach ache, I was bored for a span of about 10 minuets thinking about what I wanted to blog about today. So I picked up a bottle of CQ nail polish number 151- Mystical. It went on from there painting my nails the gorgeous shade of purple. I never paint my nails as a rule but who knows? this might become a regular thing, posting about my nails. Im joking. You readers out there would get bored. Anyway for a touch of fun I added Claire's glitter.

Half Face Drawings

In art class, we have been asked to cut a photograph of a face in half, and draw the other side. So I got bored yesterday and decided to draw Joan Jett. I cut it in half and just let go. It came out amazing but I'm not quite finished. I need a tortillion and other charcoal pencils for her hair. But I will post it as soon as it gets finished. Here is the photo I drew.

I’m the item in a ballerina’s life that makes her ankles hurt and toes scream. I am beautiful on the outside but once your feet hit that dance floor. You’re going down, in pain and in agony. Your feet are on fire. Your mind spins. I butcher you toes to no end. They make you the star, gorgeous, taller than the world. But every spin, jump, and move you do sends are string of numbness up your legs. When the dance is over, you suffer the consequences. Your ruby blood stains me. My ribbons tear, I’m falling apart. Into the trash I go after all these years. But just wait, next time I’m still coming for you.

Can you guess what that is?

The Runaways

So for the past, hmmm month of so I have been listening to a LOT of The Runaways. They are an all girl rock band from the 1970's formed by Joan Jett. In 1976 they got signed to Mercurey Records as "The Runaways." The band consists of Joan Jett,  Cherie Currie, Sandy West, Lita Ford and Jackie Fox. The band ended in 1979 and Joan Jett when on to forming "Joan Jett and The Blackhearts" and Blackheart Records. Cherie Currie and her twin sister Marie went on to release an LP.

  • The Runaways (1976)
  • Queens of Noise (1977)
  • Waitin' for the Night (1977)
  • And Now... The Runaways (1978), international release
  • Flaming Schoolgirls (1980), outtakes compilation
  • Little Lost Girls (1981)
  • Live In Japan (1977)

There is now a movie out about The Runaway's life starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. I won't give any spoilers but the movie it amazing! But just to let you know that every moment in that movie is true. Joan and Cherie even helped make the movie!
